South Dakota Sportsmen Against HungerWildlife fed America's pioneers and today it can feed the hungry. A program is available to allow hunters to share their success and you can make a difference by sharing your wild game. Several hunting and charitable organizations have asked hunters to donate processed wild game meat for families in need. Last year sportsmen donated 5,000 pounds of processed venison, which provided 20,000 meals. The S.D. Game, Fish and Parks encourages this use of game harvested through regulated hunting and the program is sponsored by Safari Club International, Black Hills Sportsmen's Club, Black Hills Regional Food Bank of S.D. and the Department of Game, Fish and Parks. Call 1-800-456-2758 to locate the names of Food Banks that support the program. |
